Founder & President
CINDY HWANG
Cindy Hwang has been an integral part of the performing arts scene in the US and Asia Pacific for over 20 years, and for nearly 10 years in the Middle East. She is the Founder and President of InPulse Creatives, an agency with the mission to provide creative solutions for artists, creators and stakeholders who have an interest in bringing their work to and partnering with organizations in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia Pacific Regions.
Since its founding in 2018, InPulse Creatives has blazed new pathways with powerful performances and collaborations, and has curated initiatives such as the Artist Career Development Residency for the Stauffer Center for Strings in Cremona, Italy. InPulse Creatives is also the brains behind “Close Encounters”, an online talk show focusing on the performing arts industry featuring artists, producers, programmers, and arts leaders.
On top of InPulse Creatives, Cindy is currently the music programmer for Ithra (King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia where she has been curating their artistic programming since 2022.
Through her genuine approach to artist development and building organizational relationships, Cindy has successfully built connections worldwide and continues to be an active leader in the performing arts field. Recently speaking on the panel “Promotion of Arts & Music in Saudi Arabia”, at the Saudi Lights & Sound Expo, Cindy is often invited to curate and moderate panels and workshops regarding the performing arts, on topics such as international touring and cultural exchange efforts.
Cindy’s interest in the international platform started early in her career. After receiving her B.A. in Music Business and M.A. in Music Ecology from New York University, she began her career at BMG International Artist and Repertoire (A&R) where she liaised with its Asian offices to bridge the crossover of Asian artists to the US. She also organized and facilitated the first BMG Pan-Asia A&R Conference in Beijing in 1999.
In 2002, she joined CAMI (Columbia Artists Management) where she worked closely with world renowned artists such as Oscar winning composer/conductor Tan Dun, Howard Shore, John Mauceri, and Cirque Eloize. During her time at CAMI she also produced panel discussions for the Fes Festival of World Sacred Music North America tour and served as tour manager for the premier of Lord of the Ring - the Symphony in Taiwan.
From 2004 to 2015, she worked with Concert Artists Guild (CAG) as the West Coast and Asia Pacific Booking and Managerial Associate to help mentor and launch young classical musicians and ensembles. And, most recently, Cindy worked with Cadenza Artists as the Director of Booking and Business Development for the Middle East and Far East.
More outstanding highlights of her career include serving as the Associate Producer of the JC Penney Asian Excellence Awards show in Los Angeles (2006 – 2008), which has the distinctive designation of being the first nationally broadcasted Asian American awards show in the United States.
Cindy is also involved in several performing arts boards and maintains her membership to various organizations and committees. She currently sits on the Board of International Society of Performing Arts, and is the Board Treasurer for Orchestra US. Cindy also served for seven years as the Board of Director for the Western Arts Alliance (WAA), with her last year as the Secretary/Treasurer.

KALLY ZHAO
Kangdeng 康登 (Kally) Zhao is an independent multidisciplinary arts producer and curator. She initiates artistic projects that simultaneously capture, question, and transcend the zeitgeist of the current world.
She graduated as a Schwarzman Scholar from Tsinghua University with a master’s degree in global affairs and a bachelor's degree in Media, Culture, and Communication from New York University as a Global Media Scholar.
Kally was the Communication and Events Lead at the International Society for the Performing Arts. She served in various leadership roles in producing, fundraising, and marketing art projects. Highlights from past art projects include filMarathon (Shanghai, 2018-2022), Mandarin Musical Man of La Mancha (off-Broadway, Symphony Space, New York, 2019), CineCina Film Festival (New York, 2019), Association of Chinese International Student in Theater (Virtual Conference, 2020), B·O·N·D International Virtual Performance Festival (Virtual, 2021), MandarinWorks Theatre Festival (off-off–Broadway, Rattlestick Theater, New York 2022), 4/4/4 (off-off–Broadway, JACK, New York 2022 & Edinburgh Fringe Festival, UK 2023), An Instant Film Festival (Beijing, China 2024).

NICHOLAS KAPONYAS
Based in New York City, Nicholas is a classical pianist who received his M.M. in Piano Performance at the Mannes School of Music. With performances across various countries in Europe and North America, Nicholas has not only been engaged as a concert pianist but as a concert organizer as well.
As a Polish-American, Nicholas is greatly dedicated to the preservation of his heritage which leads him to curate concerts programming works by Polish composers for performers of all ages and skill levels. The current artistic director of The Greenpoint Children’s Choir and a co-owner of KOBO Music Studio, Nicholas is constantly involved with music in many different capacities.
Since he joined InPulse Creatives, LLC. in 2021, Nicholas has had the pleasure of working with world-renowned artists such as Joshua Bell, Alessio Bax, Steven Lin, Dimitri Malignan, and Dominic Cheli and has also assisted in the planning of the Artist Career Development Residency for the Stauffer Center for Strings in Cremona, Italy. Nicholas is a co-host of InPulse Creatives’ Close Encounters Series.
